Hello all,

Been lurking here and at IFSJA for a few months and finally bought my first FSJ (and first Jeep anything). It's an 89 GW with a little oxidation in the clear coat and a little wear on the front seats. Other than that it seems good and is completely stock. So far I am really digging it. I look forward to learning from the experience here and contributing when I can.

Thanks for the welcome, WaveHunter. You're in Freeport (near Surfside, right)? How did you guys fare with Ike? I was in Austin at the that time, but I know Galveston and Bolivar got wacked.

Yes, we got it pretty good but not as bad as g-town and bolivar. It turn a lot of beach front homes into drifwood and wiped out a long section of the blue water highway. Austin would have been a much better place for us to ride it out.
