Machine Shops in DFW area

I recently bought a 401 requiring quite a bit of work. I've completed disassembly and the only catastrophic failure I noted was an exploded lifter on #8 cylinder intake valve with a bent pushrod. This is not to say that every rod bearing wasn't down to the copper along with the thrust surface of #3 Main Bearing. The engine also had a significant amount of rust on the cylinder walls. But my main question; is there a Machine Shop in the DFW area you would personally recommend, preferably with some knowledge of AMC engines. Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Get with Wayne Calvert Precision Engines in Denton, 940-382-6815 www.waynecalvertengines.com Wayne told me they've done a lot of AMC. They do a great variety of stuff and I tend to think you would be happy with their work. There was a recommended shop in Fort Worth but they only build race motors. I've got two 401s that I plan to take to Wayne when I get the $$$ together.
