Newbie saying hello

Postby btracer » Sun Nov 22, 2009 6:54 pm

Hey Y'all,

Found y'all on the IFSJA site.
A couple of years ago I got my hands on a '79 Chief. Tinkered with her and got enough things working to tool around. This past summer the motor started knocking but I was able limp home.

Now I've got this FSJ bug, what is it with these things? Can it be cured?

When the motor went south I purchased a 1990 GW with a lift kit and a rebuilt motor with a few performance goodies (ignition, intake, carb). Now the transfer case (np229) on the Wag is not working. I'm here to learn as much as I can about these beasts with people who know and have the FSJ bug. :D

Can't find pics of my Wag.
Here's one of my Chief with my wife.

Welcome to the forum. I'm afraid the only cure for this sickness is to buy a second one. That would be step 2 of our 12 step program.

Nice rig.
