Newbie! Galveston/SE TX Area...looking to buy an FSJ

I was relocated to Galveston with the US Coast Guard a little over a year ago. I'm originally from San Antonio, and spent my teens and twenties surf fishing the South and Southeast TX beaches.
I've got a young son now, and would like to start taking him to the beach. I figured this would be a good excuse to get an FSJ that I could pitch to my Wife!
Looking forward to picking one up and learning the quirks.
