Well it is the last day of spring gobbler season and the truck is not on the road.

The cab is the last part to refurbish, then sand and paint.

Finally have something to show...

Cleaning and welding of the cab was more that I had planned. Hope to seal the seams and second coat tomorrow.

Inside the cab still has about 5% to clean, the outside that will be painted is clean.

Once I complete the sealer / seam sealer / top coat / and primer on the to be painted surfaces, I will have gone through every piece. All seals and bearings replaced. all components rebuilt or replaced. All metal stripped to bare, then sealed and top coated or primed.

Started the 258 Friday, August 26th, 2011.

Carried 75 lbs oil pressure, 70 when warm, on a manual gauge.

Just received a new re-manufactured front bumper, that is beautiful. Picked it up yesterday.

Today I found NOS bolts to mount it...

If I could figure out how to prime, block and paint, I would be done. LOL.

As I can see in the pictures, you did a great job of restoring your jeep. I also did a modification just like you and I also replaced some of the jeep parts and accessories to be able to drive the jeep smoothly again.

Hello reinaldo,

I would like to see pictures of your project.

I am still doing body work. I never ever envisioned that it would take this long...

I have the bed and cab / front clip to do the first blocking and priming on, most all other parts are ready or need a final sanding with 400 to be ready for final paint.

I would gladly take someone's painted truck and rebuild all items for them in return for a proper paint job!

I will get through this, and I will learn a lot.

Thanks!

Completed assembly Nov. 11, 2013.

Tires on Monday, then the shakedown trips will start.

I have put twelve miles on it in the subdivision, getting the basics worked out.
