I have about four rigs I've recently found out about that are old Kaiser Gladiator Dually J Trucks and I don't have pics yet... I really would like to be able to get all the info I can on these rigs and any others discovered or known about by both members here and those just checking out the web site. If anyone is able to share absoulutely anything at all about their history, sightings, pics or VIN #s it would really be appreciated. There will be folk accessing this site through search engines and I will post a link in the Jeep Dually Registry section (under the contributions tab) so that you can get ahold of me even if you don't register. Please allow me some time to complete all my uploads and edits and you'll have some cool stuff to look at/learn about and hopefully share from your own discoveries/experience. I do have pictures and info on all the vehicles listed in the registry already and have more to add, but it's going to take me a bit to get all the links up and running for you so please be patient and check back often as you will see the info expand.
Thank you,
Elliiott

I just ran across a really nice 68 drw camper. Looks to me like it was garaged until 99. The truck is a 8 out of 10! The camper is a 6 of 10.
I realize these are rare, but do they have any value? It is for sale and I want it for some reason. Can anyone give me a real idea of the value now and restored?
Thanks!!!
Scott

Hi Scott, thanks for the pics. What is is worth is really up to you and of course the condition of the camper itself. The truck looks extremely clean, probably the best of any I have pics of but when you get to look at the floor of camper, the roof, the inside of the cabinets and interior sidewalls you will have a better idea. Other than a pic of the VIN I asked you for in the email it would be nice to get interior pics and if you could measure the wheelbase that would be cool. Some of these rigs had extended frames for longer campers. ;)

Has anybody ever seen one of these J300 Dually's? It was a special order Thriftside bed DWR purchased by my neighbor in 1963. It's 4 wheel drive with a 4 speed behind the original 230 OHC Tornado six. It was his daily work truck and is in perfect running condition and served him well as he worked as a timber faller up until he died at the age of 87. Any info/input would be great. Jim

I think it was probably a conversion using wheel (dually) adapters and then the fenders were likely widened. If it was a factory job there would be a Special Order tag in the drivers door frame with the order number so if you can get pics of that and the fenders it would be cool.
Neat truck! Thanks for sharing:)

Ya I looked at the door frame and all there is is a metal tag with the serial # and GVW [8600] pounds from Willy's. I don't see any adaptors and it has 6 lug wheels, What else should I look for? I've thought of maybe a Cummins in this thing but I do not wanna cut on it if it should be left alone.

Sounds like a factory job then and the rear axle should be D70, very interesting and would love to see pics and add it to the registry here!
